Shift: Rotate Job type: Per Diem Hours: Position Summary: Reporting to the Respiratory Department Manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for demonstrating proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age specific patient population (e.g. infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) and participates in related continuing education. Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgment and personal initiative. Administers medication as prescribed by a physician and performs the drawing and analysis of blood gasses. Other duties assigned as per scope of practice.
