We are looking to hire a motivated and energetic Respiratory Therapist to join our team and help patients with Sleep Apnea.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist or RPSGT/CPSGT

Responsibilities

ROLE:

To educate, treat, and follow up with patients being screened or already diagnosed with Sleep Apnea with the highest level of patient care. Clinicians will work closely with our Medical Office Assistants, other clinicians, and administrative staff to provide testing and treatment for sleep apnea patients.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Receive requisitions from physicians, review case/medical history, and assess the nature of the problem to determine the best diagnostic and treatment pathway (under medical direction)
  • Assess patients for diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders
  • Conduct various sleep-related tests using non-invasive techniques such as overnight oximetry and level III home sleep apnea testing
  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate ambulatory sleep study equipment
  • Download and score raw data from multi-channel sleep studies (scoring must be overseen or reviewed by an RPSGT)
  • Follow up on and resolve issues related to sleep study interpretation
  • Participate in team efforts to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Perform infection control practices for safety
  • Maintain and prepare diagnostic and PAP therapy equipment
  • Initiate and maintain PAP therapy as per physician prescription, including mask/equipment assessment
  • Generate PAP compliance reports, post-test reports, and progress notes for physicians
  • Handle service requirements and follow-up for PAP patients
  • Document all patient interactions in the EMR
  • Prepare extended health benefit submissions for patients
  • Support and oversee Medical Office Assistant tasks as needed
  • Assist with inventory and equipment tracking
