QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Respiratory Therapy license or certification as required by MA regulations.
• Proficiency in basic life support techniques and advanced respiratory therapy practices.
• Strong knowledge of human physiology related to respiratory function and disease processes.
• Familiarity with geriatric care principles is a plus, as well as experience in both inpatient hospital settings and outpatient care environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care while ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant protocols.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy interventions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatments and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
