Competitive compensation Tuition reimbursement Pension plan & 403B Referral bonus opportunities Abundant opportunities for CMEs Quarterly on-call bonus opportunities Job duties and responsibilities to include: Transthoracic echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, Contrast and agitated saline studies, Clinical trials and research, Low dose Dobutamine stress testing for aortic stenosis, Cardiac surgery OR procedures. Cardiac structural procedures to include: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) Transcatheter mitral valve repair (MitraClip) Left atrial appendage closure (Watchman) PFO and ASD closure Impella left ventricular support device Left ventricular remodeling (clinical trial) Experience: Experienced sonographer with hospital-based experience preferred, but new registered graduates are encouraged to apply Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS/CCI in adult echo, BLS required. Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines. Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System). Trains students and staff as assigned. Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Assesses data reflective of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. What We Require: Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training. Experience: none Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required. Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments. Responsibilities
The Registered Sonographer will perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, as well as assist in various cardiac procedures. They will also assess patients and interact with healthcare team members to manage care plans.
