Description Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of an RVT or RVS, interested and available for a 1+ year contract working for the VA in East Orange, NJ. Details: Contract start - 5/1/2026 - 4/30/2027, with option to extend contract Location: VA New Jersey Health System, East Orange, NJ Hours: Dayshift 8a-4:30, Full-time (office open 7 days per week, so days may vary) $40 per hour, benefits, 401K Requirements: Must have any active state licensure Must be a registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) must be certified in general vascular technology by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) NPI BLS ACLS Registered Vascular Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist require: The ability to perform routine and specialized vascular ultrasound test The ability to capture and document images and findings The ability to document preliminary reports in the electronic patient record The ability to communicate findings to providers The ability to maintain supplies and perform equipment care and troubleshooting Serve as a liaison between the vascular lab and internal/external customers Review consults and schedule appropriately Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance Respond to patient and provider inquiries Perform emergency response and basic patient care as needed Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities In-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and disease Ability to perform and interpret a wide range of vascular studies Proficiency in Doppler imaging, waveform analysis and intracranial exams Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment and optimizing image quality Ability to document disease progression or regression Requirements Any state license for RVT or RVS BC Clean background check
