The Opportunity
A brand new and well-equipped veterinary practice in London, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly and established team. This practice has a long history of providing exceptional patient and client care to the local community. The successful candidate will work closely with a team consisting of a lead vet, full-time veterinary surgeon, head nurse, and long-term patient care assistants, with the support of floating nurses within the region.
The practice offers an improved work-life balance with a 4-day work week and 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour facility, ensuring no impact on salary. Role Responsibilities

Exceptional care is the foundation of this practice. In this role, the successful candidate will play a key part in delivering outstanding care for patients and clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consistently providing exceptional care to clients and their pets.
  • Supporting surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative activities.
  • Carrying out nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures.
  • Monitoring and caring for patients during their hospital stay.
  • Managing patient admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Arranging patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispensing and checking medications.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Coordinating the team through briefings to ensure the efficient running of the practice.
