Medivet Shawbirch is looking for an experienced part time RVN to join this talented team on a permanent basis.
The role will be a sole charge Nursing position working alongside our Vet Surgeon and support staff and you will support with some consults, admin and front of house duties. The practice is equipped with the latest facilities including in-house laboratory and operating theatre. Shawbirch is a lovely practice with a very close client base, and it works very closely with our Oakengates practice.
We are offering 26 hours per week with 1 in 6 12-hour weekend shift at Shrewsbury 24 Hour with a share of Bank Holidays and On-Call rota. The part time salary is £19,825 per year (£30,500 FTE).

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
