REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (RVT) BOUNDARY ANIMAL HOSPITAL – BURNABY, BC

Position: Part-time, Full-time, or Locum
Wage: $30 – $35 per hour
Location: Boundary Animal Hospital, Burnaby, BC
Boundary Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. We are a CVBC-accredited hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients and outstanding service to our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing with the CVBC - Experience in dentistry and anesthesia is highly preferred
• Excellent technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and professional approach to both patients and clients
• Team player with a strong work ethic

• Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs and assisting in COHATs (Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment)
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgery
• Establish IV catheterization, provide fluid therapy, and administer medications/injections
• Collect samples, perform laboratory tests, and maintain in-house diagnostic equipment
• Take and develop X-rays, assist in diagnosing and treating animal health disorders
• Provide nursing care and post-operative monitoring
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth clinical workflow
• Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, treatment plans, and preventative health
