JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while supporting veterinarians in clinical settings. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree or certification in Veterinary Technology is preferred
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is highly desirable
  • Strong laboratory skills, including familiarity with diagnostic equipment and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and or surgical procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals during their stay at the clinic
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and organized
  • Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
  • Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for examinations or treatments
  • Fill in on Reception where necessary
