We’re a thriving, fast-paced group of veterinary dermatology specialists and our company is privately owned. We are looking for one full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our dedicated team at our Vancouver clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Graduate from an accredited animal health or veterinary technology college program
• Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
• Previous experience working as an RVT is preferred; new graduates are welcome

Skills and Attributes

• Technical skills in blood collection, catheter placement, and anesthesia
• Perform low stress patient handling and optimal care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong desire to learn and excel
• Compassionate; Aptitude for making clients feel welcomed and comfortable
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Attentive to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize
• Cornerstone and computer troubleshooting experience is an asset

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect and prepare patient samples for laboratory analysis
• Prepare and assist with medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their well-being
• Admit and discharge patients; Educate clients with home care instructions as required
• Administrative duties including email/phone communication and maintaining accurate medical records
