Description

Our client is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Paediatric Registrar to join their dynamic paediatrics team with immediate start until July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with prior paediatric experience who is looking to further develop their clinical skills and career in a supportive and progressive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents under the supervision of Consultant Paediatricians.
  • Participate in the day-to-day running of the paediatrics department including ward rounds, outpatient clinics, emergency care, and neonatal care.
  • Assist in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of paediatric patients in line with best clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the education and supervision of junior medical staff, medical students, and nursing staff.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, including nights and weekends.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital and national standards.
  • Engage in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and protocols to ensure safe and effective care.

Medical degree and full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate clinical experience, including at least 6 months in paediatrics.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (NRP) certification.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
