Supported by an exceptional senior leadership team, you will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, patient‑centred O&G service to the communities of Midland, Swan Valley and the Wheatbelt Region. This is a rare opportunity to broaden your clinical exposure within a progressive, collaborative and well‑resourced department. The Position Participation in Antenatal Clinic, Gynaecology clinic (including Colposcopy Assessment) and Gynaecology theatre sessions including assisting and performing minor and major procedures. This unit offers Advanced Laparoscopic surgery – including Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomies and advanced hysteroscopy procedures. Participating on the on-call roster for Birth Suite Early Pregnancy Ultrasound Scanning (EPAS) as well as general Obstetrics & Gynaecology Point Of Care Ultrasound Scanning under supervision (POCUS) Inpatient assessment and management in consultation with the treating Consultant Excellent experience in higher-risk patient care – Moort Boodjari Mia (MBM), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community Resident support, supervision, feedback and training Opportunity to participate in clinical and scientific research related to the department and contribute to quality improvement of practice and service delivery (including audit activity). You will hold, or are eligible for, registration with the Medical Board of Australia and have a minimum of 12 months’ clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. You will bring broad clinical exposure across Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and proficiency in Point‑of‑Care Ultrasound. Responsibilities
The Registrar will participate in Antenatal Clinic, Gynaecology clinic (including Colposcopy Assessment), and theatre sessions involving minor and major procedures, including advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopy work. Responsibilities also include participating in the on-call roster for the Birth Suite, performing ultrasound scanning, and managing inpatients in consultation with the treating Consultant.
