About the role In this role you will be working in the Community Safety & Regulation team, providing administration support across the unit. This is a fast paced role, that will require a high level of organisational skills. You will primarily be involved with data entry, processing a high volume of permits and applications, producing internal reports, answering phone calls from the general public and managing the customer enquiry inbox. You will also be required to liaise with a number of different departments throughout council. You will be part of a hard working and dedicated team, who are committed to providing quality service to the community. Work type: Fixed Term - Full Time (through to 31 Aug 2026) Key responsibilities include: * Respond to technical enquiries in relation to the Community Safety & Regulation operations and other related activities. * Assist in the establishment, development and maintenance of systems and procedures to ensure that the department’s corporate and statutory requirements are met. * Assist in the development and maintenance of databases. * Prepare reports, correspondence and presentations. * Assist with basic research projects, as requested. About you To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in an administration role, along with customer service experience and dealing with the general public. You will have an eye for detail, be able to trouble shoot issues and come up with solutions, work autonomously and always look for continuous process improvement. Essential Experience: * Demonstrated experience in an administration role. * Well developed research, analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills. * High level of customer service skills. * Well developed literacy, numeracy and oral communication skills. * Ability to work without supervision in a team environment and to organise and manage own time to achieve targets within a set timetable.
