The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all product initiatives to ensure new offerings are designed and optimized to meet future customer needs. The Regulations Engineer plays a key role in supporting the execution of regulatory policies, plans, and objectives to ensure Toyota’s certification and compliance targets are met. This role based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer. How you’ll make an impact Implement established regulatory processes and procedures in alignment with defined policies to achieve certification and compliance goals. Contribute to the development of regulatory processes and procedures to enable efficient and cost-effective vehicle compliance with all applicable regulations and statutory requirements. Provide support by reviewing documentation related to Australian Design Rules and government certification submissions. Assist in stakeholder communication regarding regulatory updates or changes to ensure all compliance, certification, and regulatory requirements are clearly conveyed, helping to minimise TMCA’s risk exposure and liabilities. Support project assessments related to the introduction of new regulations, including feasibility analysis and evaluation of their direct impact on Toyota. Participate in project scheduling and planning activities, monitor performance against established targets within own area, and recommend corrective actions when necessary to ensure objectives are met. Engineering Qualification: Degree in Engineering or equivalent; eligibility for National Engineers Registration (NER) preferred or willing to obtain Solid experience in the automotive industry, including expertise in vehicle certifications and regulatory compliance processes will be highly regarded Effective communicator with experience working across internal teams and external suppliers Demonstrate strong technical and regulatory expertise in the automotive sector, with the ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, concise insights for senior leadership Make your impossible, possible & apply today!
