Napier City Council is looking for a confident and organised Regulatory Administrator to join our Regulatory Delivery team. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support across a wide range of council regulatory services, including LIMs, environmental health, liquor licensing, resource consents, parking, and compliance. You’ll keep records accurate, manage information requests, assist with compliance activities, and help refine systems so our processes remain efficient and aligned with council policies and legislation. This position suits someone who enjoys working with others, has a knack for solving problems, and takes pride in delivering reliable support to both colleagues and the community. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, contribute to continuous improvement, and play a valuable part in achieving the council’s broader goals. Te Āheinga - The Opportunity Provide key administrative support to ensure smooth regulatory operations. Coordinate information requests, complaints, and compliance processes. Improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Engage with the public to educate and promote compliance with regulatory requirements. He kōrero mōhou - About You NCEA Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role, ideally in a regulatory environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work. Excellent customer service skills and clear communication across all levels. Positive, flexible, and collaborative approach; able to take ownership and work independently. Motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement. You will be based in Napier’s CBD. The annual salary package for this role is between $59,700 and $70,321 (including KiwiSaver) depending on your skills and experience.
