Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Assistant for a long-term role in Pittsburgh, PA.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science field.
  • If degree is in a related field, must have completed at least 2 years of chemistry coursework.
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and databases.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work well in a collaborative team environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1–3 years in product safety, regulatory affairs, or a related compliance role.
  • Familiarity with SDS authoring, EHS regulations, and classification standards.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Assistant to support our product safety and compliance team. This role focuses on regulatory data management, safety documentation, and ensuring compliance with US OSHA and Canadian WHMIS requirements. The position is computer-based and ideal for candidates who are comfortable working in an office environment rather than a laboratory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, maintain, and correct data in the regulatory database (SAP EHS) for the preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
  • Assist in preparing data for regulatory reports.
  • Respond to customer requests regarding product safety and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations such as GHS, Dangerous Goods classification, and TSCA.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve data or compliance-related questions.
