POSITION SUMMARY

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Regulatory and Compliance Pharmacy Technician. In this critical role, you will help ensure that our pharmacy operations remain compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. This position is highly specialized with a strong focus on quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Your precision, accountability, and commitment to excellence will directly impact the safety and well-being of our patients.
Please note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, including F-1 student visas (CPT/OPT) or H-1B visas. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future sponsorship.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy technician experience in a regulatory, compliance, or compounding environment.
  • Valid pharmacy technician license and relevant certifications (e.g., PTCB, NHA).
  • Sterile Compounding IV certification.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and maintaining compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines (FDA, DEA, HIPAA, TSBP).
  • Proven ability to identify compliance risks or deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with compliance and pharmacy management software (e.g., DocuSign, Simplifi 797, Microsoft Excel/Word, or other regulatory tracking systems).
  • Experience in cleanroom or aseptic compounding practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting compounding in a 503A or 503B specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Liberal Arts, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience developing, reviewing, and updating SOPs for compliance and compounding.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy audit software, quality tracking platforms, or compliance monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and sterile compounding best practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting
  • Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing.
