We are looking for a detail-oriented Regulatory Associate to join our team, and enjoy a dynamic, collaborative culture. The ideal individual will work hard and be results driven, but also have fun along the way.
Summary: Coordinates all aspects of the development, review and maintenance of documentation related to flavor ingredients, labeling, certifications and customer inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collect, review and maintain regulatory documentation from customers and suppliers.
  • Helps maintain the Product Documentation folders for regulatory needs. Creates and updates Product Specifications, MSDS, Allergen Statements, Nutritional Analysis, GMO, and County of Origin, etc.
  • Monitor changes in food and flavor regulations and communicate update to team.
  • Respond to customer requests for regulatory information, questionnaires, and certifications.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for product registration and import/export compliance.
  • Works closely with Quality Assurance, R&D and sales to support product development and customer needs.
  • Review product labels and marketing claims for regulatory accuracy.
  • Support applications for certifications such as Kosher, Organic and Halal.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Biology or related field. This position requires 1 - 3 years’ experience in regulatory preferably in food or flavor manufacturing. Familiarity with food regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA). Strong organizational and communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general office correspondence. Ability to write business correspondence and respond appropriately to questions from managers and employees. Ability to interpret technical documents.
Mathematical Skills: Strong aptitude in dealing with figures and amounts related to the analysis of nutritional values.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze data, procedures and processes.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to understand ERP system and understanding of various Microsoft products.
