OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory Certification Specialist to support the Quality Assurance department in maintaining up-to-date certifications and ensuring compliance with USDA and FDA regulations. This role plays a key part in validating food safety programs, assisting with audits, and managing documentation related to certifications and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate has experience in food manufacturing, a strong understanding of regulatory programs (including SQF, FSMA, USDA, FDA), and a proven ability to support both internal and external audits.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Microbiology, or related technical field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

CERTIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• HACCP certification required.
• PCQI certification and SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
• Experience with ERP and customer portal systems is a plus.
• Familiar with FSMA, USDA, FDA, and GMP regulatory standards.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Familiarity with ESHA Genesis Nutrition Software and Nutrition Labeling.
• Understanding of CAPA process and Root Cause Analysis methodology.
• Working knowledge of Pathogen Environmental Monitoring Programs.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed.
