Job Description
As a Regulatory Expert for Digitalization and Legislation in the HVAC sector, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing European legislation for “connected products,” particularly within the HVAC segment. You will work closely with internal specialists to formulate the company’s position and represent it in relevant associations, especially in Brussels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Degree in Engineering, IT, Industrial Engineering, Law, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or digitalization within an industrial or technology-related environment.
  • Experience working with European legislation and standardization processes is an advantage.
  • Know-how:
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC industry regulations and digitalization trends.
  • Understanding of IoT and connected product compliance requirements.
  • Languages:
  • Business fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
  • German and/or French are a plus.
  • Working Style and Methods:
  • Structured and independent working approach.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work across disciplines.
  • Personality:
  • Proactive and team-oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker, capable of explaining complex issues in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Legal Requirements Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze current and upcoming European legislation in the field of “connected products,” with a focus on HVAC.
  • Identify relevant directives, regulations, and standards.
  • Position Development
  • Develop and formulate the company’s position on legislative initiatives in collaboration with internal departments (e.g., product development, legal, marketing).
  • Advocacy
  • Represent the company’s interests in European associations and committees, particularly in Brussels.
  • Actively participate in working groups and discussions with political decision-makers.
  • Networking
  • Establish and maintain a network of relevant stakeholders, including representatives from associations, authorities, and other companies in the HVAC industry.
  • Internal Communication
  • Keep internal departments informed about legislative developments and their impact on the company.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and training materials.
  • Documentation
  • Create and maintain documentation on relevant laws, directives, and standards.
