Job Title: Regulatory Relationship Manager
Job Type: 10-month contract
Location: London
Hourly: £65 - £80 PAYE + holiday pay
Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has arisen to temporarily join my client as a Regulatory Relationship Manager.
My client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm’s employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries
Role Objective: The EMEA Regulatory Relations team is looking for a Director/Vice President level professional to join our team in London for a period of 10 months. You will work closely with the senior members of the team and will have an opportunity to contribute and support on a broad range of team tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior members of the team in the management of responses to regulatory information requests and regulatory remediation submissions by coordinating with key stakeholders and contributors; consolidation and checking of responses / submissions to facilitate consistency of messaging and ensure they meet the regulatory expectations.
  • Support senior members of the team on the coordination and planning for regulatory meetings by ensuring appropriate positioning of materials and attendees; and ensuring that all planning tasks have been completed (logistics, prep meetings, materials, briefing notes etc).
  • Attend regulatory meetings and provide meeting notes / briefings.
  • Proactive management, coordination and tracking of actions and meeting follow-up items to ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Support on the production of Management Information for internal stakeholders and governance committees.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to expand their Financial Services knowledge, learn more about the Regulatory environment and develop a good understanding of key Firm processes and functions.
Requirements:

Degree educated or equivalent. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar high-performance environment.

  • Experience in the financial services industry and a strong interest in the UK regulatory landscape is essential.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and with minimal background.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy and a desire to take ownership of content in deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - i.e. the ability to craft a clear and succinct message.
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in balancing multiple high-priority projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn and an interest in financial markets and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders; gain the cooperation of peers and colleagues, persuade others; mobilise people to act.
