KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure business activities comply with regulations and laws and work with regulatory agencies to provide guidance and advice.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor
  • Examine current regulations and assess and prioritize emerging trends in food and feed safety and quality to determine the current and potential medium term impacts.
  • Perform the toxicology risk assessment to ensure product compliance and mitigate business risk
  • Inform and advise leaders on regulatory issues and changes that could potentially affect the business or the company’s freedom to operate.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in toxicology or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory affairs
  • Experienced on performing toxicology risk assessment
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Responsibilities

The Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Risk Management Expert will interpret regulations as they apply to products and financial processes, practices and procedures. In this role, you will investigate and resolve compliance problems, questions or complaints received from other units of the company, customers and government regulatory agencies. You will assess the product safety risk and opportunities related to regulations and provide the advise to the business unit or country and be part of the strategy development to mitigate the risk.
