AppleCare Regulatory Security Support (RSS) team is responsible for safeguarding Apple and its customers’ data by ensuring compliance with privacy and security policies. We work proactively to identify and mitigate risks, protect sensitive information, and enable AppleCare to focus on providing outstanding customer support. DESCRIPTION

The RSS Portfolio Manager role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to manage risk and control registers, participate in risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans. You’ll also maintain access governance frameworks and support AppleCare project planning. Ability to develop and implement a strategic roadmap for risk, compliance, and privacy initiatives, aligned with Apple’s strategic goals. Proven track record of prioritizing projects effectively based on risk assessment, business impact, strategic alignment, and resource optimization. Strong collaboration skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data privacy and regulatory compliance. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues, with the ability to escalate appropriately to senior management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in project management, risk management, compliance, and/or data privacy, ideally within a large, global technology organization.
  • Strong understanding of AppleCare tools and internal processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate a global team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ Strong skills in performing risk assessments, including identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing potential threats to projects and data.
  • Knowledge of project planning methodologies and the ability to develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively by coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring project success.
  • Ability to identify and manage project interdependencies and conflicts, optimizing resource allocation and project timelines.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau for presenting project data and insights.
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PIPL, CCPA).
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML technologies and their potential applications in risk management.
  • Possession of PMI/PMP or other relevant project management certifications (e.g. Six Sigma) is considered a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Business or related field
