Compensation: $630 - $750 / Day Job Title: Regulatory Specialist III Work Location: Loving, NM Schedule: 5 Days on 2 Days Off LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Position Overview The Regulatory Specialist III provides regulatory planning, permitting, and compliance support for operations in New Mexico. This role supports project execution by ensuring environmental and regulatory requirements are identified early, integrated into project plans, and executed in compliance with internal standards and external regulations. This is an experienced-level role requiring independent judgment, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external agencies. Key Responsibilities • Provide regulatory planning, permitting, and compliance support • Support project execution by integrating environmental and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels • Ensure compliance with internal environmental and regulatory procedures • Develop regulatory, permitting, and environmental contracting strategies • Maintain and strengthen relationships with federal, state, and local agencies • Coordinate and analyze regulatory metrics and reporting • Serve as a subject matter resource for less-experienced team members • Apply experience to complex regulatory challenges and develop recommendations Skills & Qualifications • 5–7 years of regulatory, environmental, or permitting experience • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements • Experience working with state and federal agencies • Ability to solve complex problems and make recommendations independently • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Oil & gas industry experience preferred • Local New Mexico experience strongly preferred (field presence required)
