We utilize a person-and family-centered care (PFCC) approach, which recognizes the importance of family in a patient’s life and the importance of their active involvement in planning and making decisions on health care, services and treatment, and health system reform. This approach to care provides respectful, compassionate, culturally safe, and responsive care that meets the needs, values, beliefs, and preferences of the patient, their family, and others identified as significant to their life from diverse backgrounds and settings.POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking part-time Rehabilitation Therapists responsible for providing supervision and support to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABIs). This position is based out of our Supported Living Apartment (SLA) in Toronto, ON where each client resides in a fully equipped private suite. We provide 24-hour support and programming for clients with ABIs and concurrent physical, mental, behavioural, and/or substance use challenges. Goals you’ll be supporting may include increasing levels of independence and participation in life activities, community reintegration, social reintegration, and avocational/volunteer activities to name a few! Overall, as a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be part of a team that endeavors to deliver specialized care in order for clients to make strides in their recovery.
