Rehab Assistants teach young children how to play and communicate, learn school readiness skills, and develop self-help skills like teeth brushing and dressing. Rehab Assistants are an important part of a child’s team and they work with other professionals like behaviour consultants, speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available to work on Saturdays in our Guildford clinic
  • 1 years of experience working as a Rehab Assistant
  • Love working with children and enjoy playing with them
  • Can work independently and as a member of a team
  • Has strong organization and time management skills
  • Is flexible and open to learning
  • Can work with children with challenging behaviours
  • Is physically fit to work with young children
  • Can pass a Criminal Records Check

SUMMARY

As a Rehabilitation Assistant specializing in Pediatrics for Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology, you will provide essential support to therapists in delivering care to children. Your core knowledge of medical terminology will be vital in understanding treatment plans. With premium skills in acute care and a focus on pediatric patients, you will assist in implementing therapeutic activities while ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Your ability to manage time effectively and experience with children will enhance the rehabilitation process, making a significant impact on the lives of young patients and their families.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour
