WAGE RATE: $26.27 TO $31.73, COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

Our team of Rehabilitation Assistants works under the supervision of the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver group and individual therapies in our slow-paced rehabilitative care program. They focus on the patients’ functional abilities, mobility and motivation to deliver treatments and skill development activities that increase strength, range of motion, balance and endurance. They help patients to adapt to the use of mobility aids and manage activities of daily living. The Rehabilitation Assistants participate as members of the interprofessional team in delivering patient services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-year diploma in Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) or Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) or degree/diploma from a similar accredited program such as kinesiology or health promotion
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in geriatrics and slow-paced rehabilitation preferred
  • COVID Vaccination (2 Doses) is required to work in our facility
