At Nexus Rehab, we're growing a team of Rehabilitation Consultants who put people before targets. If you want real work-life balance, genuine mentoring, and the chance to make a measurable difference in someone's recovery, we want to hear from you.

About Nexus Rehab

Nexus Rehab is a SIRA-accredited workplace rehabilitation provider, supporting injured workers across NSW back to health, function and meaningful work. We're a collective of passionate health professionals driven by compassion and a determination to make a real, positive difference. Our mission is to help individuals recover, rebuild, and return to life with confidence. We work alongside doctors, allied health practitioners, employers and insurers to deliver person-centred, capacity-focused rehabilitation.

Does This Sound Like You?

  • Are you an OT, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor — new graduate or seasoned clinician — looking for your next move?
  • Have you worked in personal injury or occupational rehab before, and are you over the treadmill of service level agreements that leave no room for actual client care?
  • Do you want to coach, motivate and genuinely walk alongside people through recovery, not just tick boxes?
  • Are you searching for a role that respects your time as much as it does your expertise?
  • Does working somewhere that puts people before profit actually matter to you?

If you nodded along, keep reading.

The Role — What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage a caseload of workers recovering from workplace injury under the NSW Workers Compensation scheme.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments — initial rehabilitation assessments, workplace assessments, functional capacity evaluations, ADL and vocational assessments.
  • Identify medical and psychosocial barriers to recovery and build practical, evidence-based strategies to address them.
  • Develop and monitor Return to Work plans, progressively upgrading hours and duties as capacity improves.
  • Liaise and collaborate with workers, employers, treating doctors, allied health providers and insurers to keep everyone aligned and moving forward.
  • Deliver vocational services where needed — transferable skills analysis, labour market research and job seeking support for workers who can't return to their pre-injury role.
  • Lead case conferences and progress reviews, and prepare clear, timely, defensible reports.
  • Work across a broad portfolio of industries — transport, manufacturing, construction, government, hospitality and more. No two days are the same.

About You

  • Degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • Registration with AHPRA, ESSA or ASORC (or eligibility for registration).
  • New graduates welcome — structured development provided.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence (or willingness to build it) to write clear, defensible reports.
  • A collaborative, adaptable team player who genuinely enjoys working with people.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Able to obtain a police check and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Why Work With Nexus Rehab

  • Genuinely flexible work arrangements.
  • Thorough induction and onboarding — you won't be thrown in the deep end.
  • Regular, hands-on mentoring from experienced leaders in the industry.
  • A values-led, non-corporate culture with a deliberately controlled growth strategy that protects quality of care (and your caseload).
  • Real career progression — from new graduate through to senior consultant and leadership pathways.
  • Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
