Description

Join our team at Epworth Geelong as a dedicated and enthusiastic Rehabilitation Registrar (Advanced Trainee) starting in February 2026. This 12 month full-time position is accredited by The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM).
The Rehabilitation Registrar Training Position is designed to provide exposure to a wide range of clinical matters pertaining to Rehabilitation in a large complex not-for-profit private hospital setting. The position will be part of the Epworth Rehabilitation Team which aims to provide an individualised program for patients to achieve optimal functional potential in physical, psychological, emotional, social and community activities of daily living. The role will cover a caseload with a broad general case mix, predominantly musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological and pain management. The Registrar is required to also undertake outpatient clinic review of discharged patients.
The unit has 29 beds, plus a variable number of chronic pain inpatients, but in accordance with the AFRM guidelines, the Registrar’s caseload will be fixed at 20 allocated to five of the consultants and will exclude the geriatric reconditioning and more specialised trauma rehabilitation patients. Opportunities exist to develop subspecialty interests in pain management procedures, concussion and spasticity management via specialized clinics on site.
This role offers excellent opportunities for developing your knowledge base and experience towards Fellowship.
To be eligible, you must be a registered candidate with the RACP College Training Program. For further details on this Training Program please refer to https://www.racp.edu.au/trainees/advanced-training/advanced-training-programs/rehabilitation-medicine-general.
