Role outline and purpose
Lord Wandsworth College is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist or Sports Therapist to work within The Grange providing injury prevention, rehabilitation and support to recovery programmes.
The Rehabilitation Specialist will be responsible for leading on injury prevention and rehabilitation within LWC in addition to providing pitch-side support for sports fixtures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with the Director of Sport, Heads of Sport and Strength and Conditioning staff to provide programmes which improve performance and prevent injury of pupils within each sport.
  • Working with the Health Centre to ensure effective management of injured pupils.
  • Contribute to the design of the rehabilitation facility within The Grange.
  • Design and deliver sport-specific injury prevention sessions to teams and squads.
  • Provide 1:1 rehab sessions to LWC pupils Sports Scholars, working in conjunction with their LWC mentors and external coaches to support elite performance pathways.
  • Support the Academic PE department in delivering sessions within The Barn.
  • Delivery of rehabilitation programmes for injured pupils, in conjunction with relevant medical professionals.
  • Working with Director of SEND to design and deliver specialist Strength and Conditioning programmes to support students.
  • Supervise activity within The Grange, ensuring safe operating procedures.
  • Support to Admissions activity including open mornings, open days, induction events and sports scholarship assessments.
  • Provide pitch-side support for sports fixtures as appropriate.
  • Deliver relevant presentations to pupils and parents.
  • Other relevant tasks as requested by the Director of Sport and Health and Fitness Centre Manager.
