JOB OVERVIEW/SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Specialist to design, deliver, and monitor structured rehabilitation programmes. This role involves guiding participants through group exercise sessions, encouraging self-directed activity, and supporting them in achieving both physical and emotional wellbeing goals.

PRIMARY SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Effective organisational and decision-making abilities
  • Time and resource management expertise
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults

SECONDARY SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE):

  • Familiarity with rehabilitation programme design and delivery
  • Ability to adapt communication styles to suit participant needs
  • Knowledge of emotional wellbeing support strategies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant certifications or training in rehabilitation, physical therapy, or related fields
  • Strong English and numeracy skills
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organise and run a series of rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.
  • Facilitate and deliver live stream and in-person group exercise classes for participants with varying levels of ability.
  • Promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded classes and journals to aid self-management beyond the programme.
  • Adjust exercises and intensities in response to participants’ progress and performance improvements.
  • Identify any deterioration in participants and follow escalation processes, ensuring accurate reporting and data tracking.
  • Conduct weekly 1-to-1 telephone coaching sessions with participants, setting short- and long-term goals, providing emotional support, and encouraging self-directed activity.
