Rehabilitation Support Workers/ Rehabilitation Assistants Required
Region: Peel Region, Brampton and Mississauga ON and surrounding area - only local candidates need apply. This position is not suitable for re-location
Rehabilitation Support Workers are required immediately to deliver services to children and adults with Acquired Brain Injury.
Deliver high quality, goal oriented rehabilitation support to individuals who have experienced a significant trauma
Work within multi-disciplinary teams (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, psychology)
Provide support to acute needs, diverse and exceptional clients
Be able to work with a variety of disabilities including cognitive, physical, highly behavioural, psychosocial, mental illness and addictions
Provide weekly, professional well-written status updates on each client for the team
Write formal progress reports
Minimum Requirements for Application:
Completed College Diploma or University Degree in a health or social services related program, such as Psychology, Child and Youth Work, Behavioural Therapy, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Social Work, Developmental Services, Psychology, Sociology, etc.
5 years of Full-Time paid experience implementing supports for individuals with cognitive, psychological, behavioural and/or physical impairments(please include employment dates)
Knowledge of Acquired Brain Injury, through training and experience
Valid Drivers License and ability to transports clients in a personal vehicle
Experience in designing programs in life skills training, educational support, fitness/hydrotherapy, community integration and/or return to work an asset.
