How you’ll contribute The Rehabilitation Technician Supports the rehabilitation team by carrying out patient care activities as directed by an OTR/RPT, including safe patient transport, treatment preparation, and observation of patient response. Communicates effectively with therapists and team members, follows written and verbal instructions, and maintains a safe, organized environment to promote optimal patient outcomes. Follow patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals. Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities. Communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team. Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment; follow instructions accurately. Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; use proper body mechanics. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 6–12 months of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; willing to participate in on-the-job training after orientation. Certifications: CPR certification (as required). Skills/Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs); observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.
