DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited for the part time permanent position (0.5 WTE) of Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant within the Occupational Therapy Department of St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Overview: The Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a qualified CORU registered therapist (Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist/) to ensure a high quality and efficient service to patients. They will assist the qualified Therapist in their role to facilitate the provision of an effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation.
As a member of the Stroke and Early Supported Stroke Discharge team the Therapy Assistant will work in conjunction with other team members to ensure the provision of a high quality therapy service to our patients and will carry out clinical, administrative and educational duties.
