GCU (UK) Ltd is a specialized contractor providing comprehensive services in Utilities, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, and Traffic Management. We collaborate with clients across the UK, delivering top-notch projects with an unwavering commitment to safety.
GCU (UK) Ltd is looking for dedicated Reinstatement Gangs to join our team and help restore surfaces after our civils gangs complete fibre network installations. This will involve both Black and White Top work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect materials for resurfacing footpaths and highways to specified standards
  • Complete allocated tasks within planned timescales and quality levels
  • Remove and dispose of spoil and waste materials as directed
  • Engage with planning/management teams for work sign-off and completion
  • Ensure gang and public safety by setting up detailed safety systems
  • Record work progress using company devices, from site arrival to departure
  • Identify and report defects or damage before leaving the site

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least one member of the gang must hold Streetworks Supervisor Card with excavation and reinstatement qualification on it.
  • Experience in Cold Lay, Hot Lay, and Multifunctional Lay reinstatement
  • One member of the team must hold a HGV class 2 license (Ideally a clean licence). All members of the gang must hold a driving licence.
  • CSCS Card (preferable)
  • NOPS accredited with BT/Openreach and KN Circet accreditation would be desirable.
