Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Reinsurance team as a Reinsurance Analyst in a 6-month fixed term contract. This opportunity has a view to become permanent.
The Reinsurance team is responsible for managing reinsurance operations and settlement of bordereaux with our reinsurers. This role will be responsible for managing MLC Life Insurance’s operational relationship with multiple reinsurers, as well as internal stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • End to end preparation and review of reinsurance premiums and bordereaux
  • Liaising with reinsurers to address queries and settle disputes
  • Partnering with Pricing, Actuarial, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure that reinsurance is executed in accordance with expectations
  • Process improvements and automation
  • Support Reinsurance manager on various reinsurance related issue, projects and ad-hoc queries

To be successful in this role you will be an individual who has a high attention to detail, an analytical mindset and the ability to problem solve. You will also have:

  • Proven excel skills including use of complex formulas and excellent data management.
  • Previous experience in a Reinsurance, Actuarial, Finance Analyst or Data Analyst role is highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and drive to deliver for customers.
  • Quick learner and ability to prioritise effectively
