Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission/ Officer-in-Charge, and reporting directly to the Reintegration Officer, the incumbent will assist the implementation and monitoring of activities for the project titled “Strengthening the Reintegration of Returnees in The Gambia (STRONG) at the Community level’’. The project aims at providing community-based reintegration assistance through community-based reintegration initiatives and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services targeting both returnees and community members. The project also seeks to strengthen the capacities of both state and non-state actors to contribute effectively to reintegration processes. This initiative is funded under the European Union’s Flexible Mechanism for Migration and Forced Displacement. Working in close coordination with the Project team and other thematic areas of IOM The Gambia, the incumbent will assist with capacity building activities of local stakeholders, particularly at the community level, contributing to initiatives that benefit returnees and their communities.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will assist in implementing and monitoring community-based reintegration activities and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services for returnees and community members under the STRONG project. This includes supporting capacity building activities for local stakeholders at the community level.
