Relationship Associate, Corporate Banking Based in Auckland Full time, Permanent position We are looking for a commercially minded and well‑organised Relationship Associate to join our Institutional & Business Banking team. Mō te tūranga | About the role This is a unique Relationship Associate opportunity that offers variety and breadth. You will contribute across several parts of the business, supporting the Northland Corporate Banking team, an Auckland based Relationship Manager and the Deposits team. You will work alongside Relationship Managers, Associates and product partners, sharing responsibility for customer outcomes. As part of the Corporate Banking Associate cohort, you will play a central role in supporting Relationship Managers by providing thoughtful credit support, clear financial insight and strong portfolio management discipline. You will collaborate closely with others to progress work efficiently, solve problems and ensure customers receive a consistent and joined‑up experience. Your work will directly influence customer outcomes, the health of the lending portfolio, and the strength of our risk and compliance standards. You will develop a deep understanding of customers, industries and market conditions, ensuring we maintain strong relationships and deliver well‑considered credit solutions. This role is key in safeguarding Westpac’s reputation through sound judgement, clear communication and disciplined execution, with a strong focus on shared accountability and team decision‑making. You will complete accurate, concise and well‑reasoned credit submissions while undertaking active portfolio management. This includes timely monitoring of triggers and covenants, completion of periodic risk reviews and consistent oversight using bank systems and tools within policy timeframes and standards.
