Our Relationship Builder- Tellers are front-line representatives of the member experience who find the quick and simple solutions to everyday member needs and refer members to the proper advisor for needs that go beyond the teller line. Not only this, but our Relationship Builders-Tellers also use their exceptional people skills to initiate, retain, and develop relationships with members, making them feel valued and appreciated. That’s why we call them Relationship Builders and not just Tellers. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Process Member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and money orders. Maintain accurate cash drawer balancing and reconcile any discrepancies. Provide exceptional Member service by greeting Members warmly, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally. Identify and promote Mazuma products and services that meet Member needs, such as checking and savings accounts, loans, and credit cards. Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and security protocols, including compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with other branch operations as needed, such as opening and closing procedures and vault transactions. Stay up-to-date on Mazuma products, services, and promotions. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. Maintain confidentiality of Member information. Build and maintain positive relationships with Members and colleagues. Knowledge and Skills: Required Experience: Cash handling experience (e.g., cashier, retail sales). Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience: Prior retail banking experience preferred. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
