As a Consultant, you’ll maintain relationships with top segment key clients by working with producers, plan sponsors, actuaries, third-party administrators (TPAs) and PPAs with ongoing administration of plans, providing assistance to clients with governmental audits, preparing and conducting plan meetings, providing expertise and support to sales personnel, development and presentation to prospective customers. You’ll act as a liaison between Nationwide Financial and our larger Premiere and Pinnacle PPAs, TPAs and plan sponsors.
TYPICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Education: Undergraduate studies or equivalent related work experience.
License/Certification/Designation: FINRA Series 6 license required. Associates must obtain the license within the time period designated by the business unit. If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required license within the designated time period, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position. Six Sixma green belt a plus.
Experience: Five years of financial services experience, with at least two years in retirement plans; Nationwide Financial (wholesale distribution model) experience preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Thorough knowledge of qualified retirement plan concepts, reconciliation of plan assets and an understanding of basic Internal Revenue Code and Department of Labor regulations. Working knowledge of investments including annuities, mutual funds and the financial marketplace. Strong communication skills; data analysis; data integrity checks; decision making skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish priorities. Ability to analyze and recommend solutions to business issues. Must have strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills. Must have solid understanding of the operational business model, including the products, services and processes of the related business unit. Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with business unit and client. Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects. Ability to evaluate and recommend problem resolutions. Confirmed problem solving skills in identifying problem situations and generating viable solutions.
