EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working within a membership/customer care environment.
  • Experience of working within a commercial and/or relationship management environment.
  • Experience of acting in accordance with the IoD’s key values, Teamwork, Leadership, Agility & Respect and the IoD’s core behaviours, Connect, Develop & Influence.
  • Experience of working with CRM systems, data and databases is preferable, but not essential.
  • Comfortable working in a virtual/remote environment.

SKILLS

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate confidently and build relationships with stakeholders, members and volunteers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to convey messages at all levels.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills, including the ability to work efficiently and on own initiative, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a desire to provide all potential and existing members with a high-quality experience of the IoD.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Raise the profile of the IoD across Scotland with members and non-members, supporting their efforts in membership acquisition and retention as well as the effective marketing of national/regional events.
  • Working across the IoD’s teams, this role also works closely with the CSS Marketing Team to ensure all marketing and comms are completed on brand, within the agreed timeframe and budget.
  • Assist on activities that encourage the retention of existing IoD members and in doing so, create the opportunity for membership growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the communication of regional activities to members and non-members, ensuring consistency of IoD brand use across Scotland and increasing engagement through the promotion of high-quality content and campaigns.
  • Prepare high-quality and creative communication materials, including copy and videos, for online and offline materials to promote IoD events, activities, and benefits.
  • Assist the events team to create and send event emails, registrations, feedback forms, and post- event collateral.
  • Plan, set-up, and ongoing management of social media campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for improving on our digital footprint and profile, using the latest platforms.
  • Provide all members with a high-quality membership experience, ensuring they are aware of member benefits and how to access these.
  • Act as the conduit between the IoD and Branch Committees/SIGs, assisting with administrative support, focused activity and development, member experience and growth.
  • Promote and signpost members to Professional Development opportunities within the IoD.
  • Meet and exceed personal retention targets which contribute to both your own and the teams’ financial targets and KPIs. Maintain awareness of relevant iod.com and other online platforms.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Input and maintain up-to-date CRM and database records.
  • Assist the IoD Scotland team with ad-hoc tasks and projects, as required.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the IoD’s value proposition and all related activities, products, and services.
  • Contributing to the review of all administrative processes for efficiencies and improvements.
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably allocated.
  • Supporting with adhoc projects.
