As part of CIB, Energy Infrastructure & Commodities BU is present across the entire Energy & Infrastructure value chains with a strong African focus and has an experienced and dedicated pool of professionals providing tailor-made financing solutions to clients. The Natural Resources Finance team focuses on the financing needs of midstream and upstream Oil & Gas international clients active on the African continent by structuring innovative medium to long term financing solutions, enabling our clients’ long-term growth. This highly specialised and dedicated Natural Resources Finance unit is now being called upon to expand given its increasing (i) origination and structuring capabilities and (ii) regional and international footprint. We are on the lookout for: Job vacancies: Relationship Executive and Relationship Manager Your responsibility will be to provide guidance to clients and yield new business ventures by covering a comprehensive range of solutions by blending sectorial and financial expertise.   In these roles you will: For Relationship Executive * Assist and work closely with the Relationship Manager to maintain and provide excellent service to the existing client base and generate new business by developing the deal pipeline; * Provide tailored financing solutions and maintain close contact with clients through participating in structuring initiatives and sales strategies, attending client calls & meetings and overseas trips as and when required; * Provide excellent customer service, assist to open new accounts, conduct KYC review for clients; * Collaborate closely with the Relationship Manager, Credit Analysis and Middle Office Teams and other stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Risk and Compliance) to prepare credit applications and/or credit memos for existing and new clients for sanctioning and to come forward with structured tailor-made financial solutions to suit clients' needs within Risk frameworks of the bank; * Support and advise the Relationship Manager in carrying out a first level appraisal of prospective customers or deals to promptly decide to transfer all relevant information and documents required to the CIB Product Teams for detailed analysis; * Prepare and maintain regular high quality presentations and portfolio updates to enable the team to (i) monitor the evolution and performance metrics of the portfolio, (ii) identify deviations and suggest corrective actions and (iii) take informed decisions on the development of deal pipeline.   For Relationship Manager * Maintain and enhance relationship with clients and other strategic collaborators; * Ensure provision of high quality and timely service to clients through regular overseas travel and maintaining close and direct contact with clients; * Identify and originate new business opportunities; * Structure credit facilities, in close collaboration with a specialised team of analysts, to achieve client satisfaction and optimise risk/return metrics; * Identify and develop new opportunities to cross sell MCB products and services to existing and new clients; * Follow-up on deals/transactions, with other departments of the Bank and CIB clusters, to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions and timely processing of same; * Capitalise on analytics provided to explore business opportunities, take informed decisions and recommend targeted solutions to enhance customer service and for business growth; * Monitor the client’s operational, financial and environmental performances through constant interactions with clients combined with quarterly account reviews, half yearly financial modelling exercises and yearly ESG reports reviews.   To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies: • Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals;  • Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions; • Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; • Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals; • Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization; • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. We are looking for candidate(s) who has/have a minimum of: For Relationship Executive EITHER • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or Management or Banking or a numerate degree with quantitative elements (such as Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Business); • 3 years’ working experience in Corporate Banking / Investment Banking / Project Finance / Financial Analysis / Credit Analysis / Quantitative Analysis or Strategy and Research; OR • 6 years’ working experience in Corporate Banking / Investment Banking / Project Finance / Financial Analysis / Credit Analysis / Quantitative Analysis or Strategy and Research; AND • Strong credit analysis and quantitative skills; • Knowledge of the oil & gas sectors with a focus on the African continent; • Proficient in MS Office applications; • Knowledge of Banking - Risk Analysis.
