Vontobel is currently seeking a Relationship Manager to assist in driving our multi-boutique growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region with Institutional prospects.
Reporting to the Head of Asia-Pacific, the role will be responsible for supporting the sales of Vontobel’s broad array of strategies to current and potential institutional clients in the Asia ex Japan ex Korea and Australia/New Zealand regions. The role will also entail servicing clients in the Asia ex Japan ex Korea and Australia/New Zealand regions.
The role requires strong sales and client servicing management skills as well as strong investment and product knowledge. The successful applicant would be an independent self-starter with experiencing managing internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and support Vontobel’s sales strategy in the Asia ex Korea ex Japan region with a secondary focus on Australia/New Zealand.
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships, working with regional client services professionals to ensure best in class client experiences.
  • Position and sell Vontobel’s equity, fixed income, and multi-asset products to institutional clients and prospects in the region. This will involve prioritization of accounts, research, scheduling meetings and initiating discussions with clients and prospects to identify their strategic and tactical goals.
  • Coordinate events and sponsorship opportunities to elevate Vontobel brand in the region.
  • Partner closely with the broader Asia Pacific team to advance the regional business plan and with the Regional Sales Head to develop strategic opportunities across the region.
  • Provide constructive feedback on strategies, market / industry trends and best practices to management, sales and investment management teams.
  • Engage internally across the organization to partner with the product, marketing and investment resources of the firm to address the needs of our clients.
  • Build positive relationships across the broader global sales organization, investment communications, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams critical to the end-to-end client lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all compliance and legal requirements are met and business is conducted in line with best practice, taking appropriate action where necessary
