The Relationship Manager (RM) has responsibility for relationship excellence and new business development. The RM is responsible for increasing relationship penetration with existing clients and is responsible for ensuring satisfaction with the current BBH product and services while maximizing profitability and increasing product breadth with clients. The RM is expected to fully handle smaller and less complex opportunities with little or no support from management. With larger, more complex prospects and clients, the RM will play an important role in supporting the efforts of more senior Relationship Managers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Relationship Management and Client Service: Ensure Relationship Excellence (RE) with existing clients. Serve as the client advocate within BBH at strategic level, ultimately responsible for client satisfaction; ensures top rankings in industry surveys. Continuously expand knowledge of the Investor Services industry, as well as BBH sales, relationship management, and operational processes. Play an active role in the research and presentation of BBH practices, data and trends to assist in the delivery of all communication with clients and prospect. Sales and Revenue Generation: Grow revenue with assigned clients or prospects. Coordinate cross-selling activity with Client Service Manager (CSM), product specialists, Ops and Systems; oversees deals. Identify and coordinate innovative and integrated solutions to address clients’ strategic challenges using multiple BBH products and services. Evaluate existing client relationships and identifies new revenue streams through active communication and collaboration with CSM, Ops, and Systems. Promote BBH products and services throughout the industry and position BBH for long-term opportunities. Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives, regional and global market practices (attend presentations, work sessions & personal effort) Planning and Strategy: Develop and maintain detailed relationship/sales plans and RE analysis for individual clients or prospects. Monitor and track clients and/or prospects by developing an in-depth knowledge of their 1, 3, and 5-year business strategy, key imperatives, organizational changes and related activities. Monitor development and progress against relationship or sales plans and RE action steps for clients or prospects. Actively track and communicate client and marketing intelligence back to appropriate BBH resources and colleagues. REQUIREMENTS: BS/BA required, or equivalent work experience MBA is a plus A minimum of 5 - 7 years global custody or related industry experience is required Global custody product knowledge; including cross product knowledge Communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills and excellent writing ability Professional business acumen; Ability to interact in a professional manner at all levels, both internally and externally to BBH Detail oriented with proven ability to see open issues to resolution Quick learner, ability to juggle duties and trouble shoot while maintaining an upbeat personality Business level English and knowledge of foreign markets are desirable Travel required We value diverse experiences.
