Job Summary: The Relationship Manager will primarily focus on driving sales and marketing efforts of PTMA investment products and services targeted at Illinois local government clients and prospects. This role emphasizes expanding the client base while collaborating with Institutional Investment Specialists to manage investment portfolios tailored to municipalities’ needs, oversees client relationships, the productions of cash flow process, and bond proceeds management services. Duties/Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to attract and secure new municipal accounts throughout Illinois. Assist in the development and execution of the state’s sales and marketing plan. Achieve targeted growth in the all state pooled fund’s total balance. Maintain and enhance client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. Oversee the cash flow analysis process and provide guidance related to bond proceeds management services. Comply with in-office presence requirements and attend in-person client meetings and events across Illinois. Collaborate with Institutional Investment Specialists to deliver appropriate investment portfolio solutions for municipal clients. Advise clients by providing economic and investment market insights to support their financial objectives. Present PMA products and services to Boards and Finance Committees of Illinois municipalities. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Required Skills/Abilities: This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales and relationship management, and an understanding of municipal finance a plus. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and consistently go the extra mile to meet client needs. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Strong ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively amidst competing deadlines. Proven ability to perform well under pressure, maintaining focus and delivering. Ability to take initiative and willingness to go the extra mile for our clients. Attention to detail Ability to prioritize work with many conflicting deadlines Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to collaborate and solve problems with both technology and business team members. Prior experience managing customer data within a CRM environment is preferred. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) degree from four-year college or university Three to five plus years related experience and/or training; prior experience servicing local governments in Illinois is preferred. Regulatory Licensures: Series 7, 63, & 50. Preferred experience in Investment Management (Broker-Dealer–Advisor) Environment Physical Requirements: Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time. Lift up to 15 lbs.
