Job Description Job Summary Responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Chinese corporate clients within UOB (Thai)'s Commercial Banking division, fostering strong relationships, and providing comprehensive financial solutions to meet their business needs and facilitate cross-border transactions between Thailand and China. Job Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial clients, focusing on Chinese-owned enterprises and businesses with significant operations or interests in China. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, actively prospecting and acquiring new clients for the China Desk. Conduct thorough financial analysis and credit assessments to structure appropriate lending facilities and financial solutions for clients. Provide expert advice on cross-border trade finance, foreign exchange, cash management, and other relevant banking products and services. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit risk, and legal teams, to deliver seamless and integrated solutions. Stay abreast of economic developments, market trends, and regulatory changes in both Thailand and China that may impact clients. Prepare and present credit proposals and reports to relevant committees for approval. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and performance metrics for revenue generation and client acquisition. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management within commercial banking, with a proven track record of managing corporate clients. Strong understanding of the Chinese business environment, cultural nuances, and market dynamics. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) is essential to effectively communicate with Chinese clients. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a solid understanding of financial statements and credit analysis. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of banking products and services relevant to commercial clients, including trade finance, treasury, and cash management. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the Thai banking sector.
