Salary: Competitive package available

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which currently involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at your office location.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Relationship Manager to join our high-performing SME Commercial team. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and making a real impact, this could be your next big move.
You’ll work with businesses turning over between £3m-£10m, helping them unlock their potential through tailored financial solutions. You’ll be the face of Lloyds to existing and new clients, building trust, delivering value, and driving growth.
You’d be a key part of our market presence, helping local clients, developing key business opportunities and representing the Group with Senior Stakeholders across the professional community.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Strong communication skills with experience in building, creating and maintaining relationships with clients and influential external partners.
  • A track record of winning new business in a competitive environment within corporate or commercial banking.
  • Skilled team player as well as a proven self-starter with a drive and passion to succeed individually and as part of the wider team.
  • Detailed understanding of legal documentation, together with the ability to effectively negotiate legal and commercial terms.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the different types of risk in a lending environment and how to minimise such Risk.
  • Proven credit experience - skilled at evaluating propositions and using that experience to make confident and effective commercial recommendations to the Credit team.
Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Supporting high profile client relationships, putting the client at the heart of what you do, adding customer value at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”
  • Proactively identifying and delivering Commercial Banking solutions to meet the business needs of these clients - including day-to-day banking, payments, deposits, cards and lending
  • Building a strong network of internal and external partners to open doors and create opportunities
  • Leading the charge to win new-to-bank clients through strategic outreach and relationship building
  • Establishing relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bringing the whole Bank to the client, delivering products to meet their needs
  • Handling the ‘Risk’ side of your client portfolio including supporting clients with developing ESG strategies and supporting their journey to Net Zero.
