Embark on a journey within the Energy, Infrastructure and Commodities BU, a Business Unit within the Corporate & Institutional Banking Strategic Business Unit (CIB SBU), which is present across the entire energy, infrastructure and metals value chain with a strong pan African focus and has an experienced and dedicated pool of professionals providing tailor-made financing solutions to clients. Within this environment, the award-winning Power & Infrastructure (P&I) team focuses on structuring innovative medium to long term financing solutions for international corporates active across the power and broader infrastructure sectors in Africa. As the team continues to expand its origination capacity and regional reach, we are looking to strengthen our senior front office capability. We are on the lookout for: Job vacancy: Relationship Manager As a Relationship Manager, you will take full ownership of a diversified portfolio of strategic clients and drive the development of long‑term, high‑value partnerships. You will be accountable for revenue growth, relationship expansion, and delivering bespoke financing solutions while maintaining a robust risk and compliance culture. This role places a strong emphasis on client coverage, strategic origination, structuring and execution of live transaction, deep sector engagement, and identification of new business opportunities across the African infrastructure landscape. In this role you will, Lead the management, development, and growth of a portfolio of power and infrastructure clients, ensuring their evolving financing needs are met through innovative, value‑enhancing solutions. Review key project agreements and documents; and review and lead negotiation on legal documentations and review and lead negotiation on legal documentations. Conduct financial analysis, review & work on financial modelling, drafting of internal credit memos. Maintain continuous engagement with key decision‑makers through regular client meetings, strategic discussions, industry events, and targeted overseas business development trips. Identify, originate, and convert new business opportunities by proactively mapping market trends, client expansion plans, and sector developments. Drive the structuring and execution of medium‑ to long‑term financing transactions, ensuring solutions are customised to clients' strategic objectives while remaining aligned with the bank’s risk appetite. Lead the development of sales strategies and participate actively in structuring initiatives in collaboration with internal product teams. Drive the onboarding and periodic reviews of clients, ensuring full adherence to KYC, AML, and compliance standards. Oversee the integrity of client documentation and operational flows to guarantee smooth execution and optimal client experience. Coordinate closely with LPF, Middle Office, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality credit applications, transaction memos, and structured proposals. Act as a key liaison to ensure alignment with Strategic Business Unit outcomes and maintain coherence across teams involved in deal execution. Provide leadership on portfolio monitoring, including tracking performance metrics, identifying deviations, and recommending strategic adjustments. Produce high‑quality presentations, sector insights, and client updates to support decision‑making and strengthen the visibility and performance of the P&I portfolio. Advocate for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and strategic parameters to ensure operational agility and support the growth trajectory of the P&I business line. Contribute to enhancing the team's regional and global footprint by developing relationships with new clients, sponsors, investors, and other ecosystem stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of: An undergraduate Degree in either one of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, Management, Banking, Mathematics, Economics or Business; 5 years' experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated focus on financial analysis, client servicing and relationship management dealing with non-individual customers. OR 8 years’ experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated focus on financial analysis, client servicing and relationship management dealing with non-individual customers; A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
