The Project This project supports ongoing efforts to accelerate the electrification of medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDVs) in India. It works collaboratively with stakeholders across government, industry, research, and civil society to strengthen understanding, coordination, and communication around opportunities for the transition to clean and efficient freight transport. The Role We are seeking a Relationship Manager to support an advocacy and communications campaign advancing fuel efficiency norms and accelerating electrification of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles (MHDVs) in India. The person in this role will handle stakeholder mapping and identification, relationship building and management, and event support for the project. Timeline: Dec 1 (negotiable) - July 31st, 2026 Nature of Employment: Part-time consultant - contractual (2-3 days/week or up to 96 hrs/week) Location: Delhi (Work From Home + frequent on-ground presence for meetings and events) Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Insights Track key policy and media moments (e.g., regulatory announcements, parliamentary sessions, EV events). Maintain a calendar of govt engagement opportunities and provide timely stakeholder and sector updates. Ecosystem & Stakeholder Engagement Map and engage key actors across government, industry, CSOs, academia, and media. Coordinate participation in relevant campaigns and forums (e.g., E-Fast, EV100, Shoonya). Support planning and execution of convenings, webinars, submissions, and briefings. Champion & Partner Relations Identify and onboard credible advocates (researchers, policy advisors, industry voices). Ensure champions are supported with briefing notes and communication resources. Maintain relationship tracking and engagement records. Media & Communications Support Build and maintain a database of relevant journalists and media platforms across national and regional outlets. Track media coverage of electrification of MHDV and FE norms Support the development and dissemination of media content, including press notes, op-eds, and expert quotes. Event Participation & Coordination Represent the campaign at meetings and events; capture insights to inform strategy. Provide coordination and logistics support for campaign-led events. Monitoring & Documentation Track campaign activities and outcomes, contributing both qualitative and quantitative insights. Support documentation and reporting at key milestones and project close. Qualifications: Experience 6+ years of experience in electric mobility - preferably policy engagement, campaigns, stakeholder management, or related roles. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi preferred. Comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing parallel workstreams. Attributes Collaborative team player who is proactive, organized, and adaptable. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
