JOB TITLE: Relationship Manager Real Estate & Housing
LOCATION(S): South East Region - Based in Guildford
SALARY: Competitive package
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • You’ll have extensive Commercial/Relationship Banking experience with a strong lending capability; able to assess to credit risk of the corporate client.
  • You’ll also need to demonstrate how you’re wired into local networks with extensive connections in the professional space and use these for business development opportunities.
  • You’ll be highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships.
  • You’ll use your specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and handling associated risks.
Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Accountable for growing income, balance sheet and client numbers, whilst also managing any associated risks.
  • Managing a portfolio of client relationships with a focus on the Real Estate sector.
  • Identifying client needs and developing client strategies to meet those needs, leveraging product, coverage and support teams where relevant. Undertaking lending assessments and implementing appropriate client solutions.
  • Responding to client’s key moments of truth including lending which cannot be fulfilled by the Client Relationship Team.
  • Ensuring the balance between risk and reward is effectively managed ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the Bank’s asset quality and policy requirements.
  • To be seen as the “go to” banker in their geographic area of responsibility. Maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve the Bank’s stated aim of being the best bank for clients.
  • Creating and utilising an effective partnership with pooled support in the Client Relationship Team.
  • Positively promoting the Bank’s image and working closely with Business Development, Product Partners and others to develop new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring activities comply with internal and external polices (including credit), asset quality, standards, reporting, legal, statutory and/or regulatory requirements.
